What is API Routing used for?
API Routing is used for the occasions where a route is calculated without direct interference of a map, for example, when a price is calculated in the Driver App.
We offer two separate API Routing providers, Google Maps and Graphhopper. Both will calculate the most efficient path for your jobs, but only one can be chosen.
- Google Maps - as always, you will need to add your API Key. More info can be found here. The routing method can also be chosen through maps. If you, for example, run a bicycle service, then please choose "Bicycling" as an option here. You can also turn the Google Routes API on or off here. Please leave this setting turned on at all times.
- Graphhopper - Graphhopper is another API Routing Provider. You will need an API key. More information can be found here.
